Sailing The Seas Of Fate

03.09.97

Last night I dreamed a dark dream.
In this dream I was drowning.
Drowning in a sea of tears.
The day had started out quite nicely.
It had been a beautiful day for sailing.
Aboard my vessel Memory, I’d just sat down to eat crow.
When of a sudden a powerful wave of sadness,
Rocked my poor little vessel, sweeping me over the side.
Like a lead weight I sank closer toward the wasteland.
The wasteland that was fear.
I was astounded by this sudden change of events.
Curiously I looked around,
And soon realized that my best friends were there.
Sorrow and Regret.
Mockingly, they called my name and it was Death.
